A Look Around The City 6 In College Hoops

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Friday night is a quiet night in the City 6 in college basketball but all the teams will be in action this weekend.

Temple will entertain East Carolina on Saturday night. The Owls are 7-6 (2-1 in the American) and coming off a 55-53 win over #23 UConn.

6-7 Penn opens Ivy League play on Saturday against Princeton at the Palestra.

La Salle will look to snap its seven-game losing streak on Saturday as the Explorers host #25 Dayton. La Salle is 4-8 (0-2 in the A-10).

Drexel is 2-12 (0-3 in the CAA) and on Saturday the Dragons host the College of Charleston.

#11 Villanova plays a critical game on Sunday as the Wildcats visits #18 Butler in Big East action. The Wildcats are 13-2 (3-0 in the Big East).

St. Joe's will look to get back on track on Sunday as the Hawks host Rhode Island. Phil Martelli's squad is 11-3 (1-1 in the A-10) but coming off a tough loss to VCU.
