Citizens Bank Park Ranked 6th Cleanest Stadium
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – For once, Philadelphia sports fans have been complimented for something, and it's not something you'd expect.
Citizens Bank Park is ranked 6th overall of 30 stadiums for, wait for it, cleanliness.
From UFE.COM:
With a score of 25 out of 30, (30 being the best score) for stadium cleanliness, the Citizens Bank Park ranks high enough to be placed right in the center of the "Best of the Best" group, according to Urine Feces Everywhere (UFE) ratings.
Even though the Phillies Park restrooms have too many "touch" areas; toilet flusher, faucet, paper towels, and soap dispensers, their facilities are clean. Automatic, or touch-less facilities greatly reduce the number of bacteria, UFE, that people come in contact with. Just because you cannot see it does not mean that it is not there. There are also plenty of clean garbage cans located at exits and near towel dispensers. Hopefully in the future Citizens Bank Park will improve upon their restroom, but for now they at least visually clean.
If it helps ease the pain of the Nationals clinching the National League East last night, you should know that Philadelphia scored higher than Washington D.C., who rated #22.
Unfortunately for Philadelphia men, they cleaned their hands after using the restroom far less than women did, according to the study. UFE says that 22% of men left the restroom without washing their hands, but only 1% of women did.
Chicago's Wrigley Field was ranked the most unsanitary.
