Cirque Du Soleil Contorts, Juggles, Swings Into Boardwalk Hall
ATLANTIC CITY (CBS) - A world-renowned Cirque Du Soleil show is coming to Atlantic City for the first time.
Alegria has all the traditional acrobatics of Cirque du Soleil, but this production features a theme centered on the struggle for power between generations.
"We have the old nostalgic birds, representing the establishment," said Genevieve Laurendeau, publicist for the show. "They represent the old way of thinking. And then the youths come on stage with powerful acrobatics, incredible maneuvers and there just coming on stage to take their place. It's the perfect combination of live music, dance, theater, on stage. It's not a musical; it's not a theater play. It's Cirque du Soleil."
