Christie Returns To Shore For 100th Town Hall
MANAHAWKIN, N.J. (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie will return to the Jersey Shore for his 100th town hall.
Christie will be in Manahawkin on Wednesday. The 2-square-mile community of 2,300 people in Ocean County is the gateway to Long Beach Island, an area hit hard by Superstorm Sandy.
Christie's town hall comes after the House approved a storm aid package for New Jersey, New York and other Northeast states on Tuesday night. The first-term governor had harsh words for Speaker John Boehner after a vote on the aid was delayed last month.
The administration released a time-lapse video previewing the centennial town hall this week. The upbeat clip shows staffers setting up before Christie enters the hall.
Some of the governor's town halls have produced exchanges with audience members that have landed on YouTube.
