Christie Complains He Wasn't In The Loop About NYPD's Surveillance Of NJ Muslims

TRENTON, NJ (CBS) - With Muslim leaders complaining about surveillance by the New York Police Department in other states and jurisdictions, Governor Christie says his one complaint so far is that he wasn't in the loop.
Asked about the surveillance at a news conference, the Governor said that, as a former federal prosecutor, he thought the number one lesson learned from 9-11 was that law enforcement had to share intelligence.
"I'm not making an argument as to whether or not what the NYPD did in New Jersey was legal or illegal. That's for the Attorney General to decide. I'm saying it's bad law enforcement. It's bad law enforcement practices to not coordinate. How do they know that the people they were surveilling in Newark or New Brunswick were not people already being surveilled by the state attorney general?"
So Governor Christie asks New York officials to call the Joint Terrorism Task Force in Newark next time.
