Chris Stigall: Give Trump Credit For Knocking Out Bush
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - On Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, Chris Stigall, who has vocalized many of the differences he has with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, gave him credit for one thing: destroying former Florida Governor Jeb Bush's chances at winning the nomination.
Stigall said if Trump had chosen to remain on the sidelines, the Republican establishment would be propelling Bush to front-runner status.
"Were it not for Trump, Jeb Bush would be shoved down our throat like Mitt Romney was shoved down our throat. The only man credited with that, and I believe this from the bottom of my heart, and I will forever give Trump that credit, no matter whether Trump gets the nomination or not, Donald Trump deserves this credit and it is, were it not for him, Jeb Bush would be our nominee. I haven't any doubt. Trump has seen to it that Jeb Bush is, essentially, neutered."
