Chip Kelly Has Energized Eagles Ticket Prices

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The energy around the Philadelphia Eagles is undeniable. From players, to coaches, to the front office, the change in atmosphere that new head coach Chip Kelly has brought along with him, is one that brings not just a fresh start for the team, but for the NFL as well.
Todd Herremans said on Sunday that the players have completely bought into Kelly's offensive system. If ticket prices are any indication, so have fans.
Eagles ticket prices on the secondary resale market for home games this season are 30% higher than prices in 2011, and 40% higher than 2012, according to statistics from TiqIQ, a website that aggregates ticket secondary resale sites.The start of the Kelly era has been more successful than the end of the Andy Reid era, if not yet on the field, definitely in the wallet.
The average price for a ticket to an Eagles home game is $193, compared to $149 in 2011, and $138 in 2012.
It does seem though, that Andy Reid as coach of the Kansas City Chiefs is an attractive thing for Eagles fans. A ticket for the Eagles game against Reid's Chiefs will cost $217 on the secondary market, with the cheapest price for a single ticket at $26. The Chiefs game is the second highest priced game on the Eagles schedule. The most expensive is the Dallas Cowboys game with an average of $220 per ticket, the Giants at $213, and the Redskins at $204.
If the Eagles offense can keep up with the pace ticket prices is setting, the team might just have a fighting chance
