Chip Kelly Annoyed By New York Media

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Chip Kelly's 0-2 Eagles have started the season in about the worst way possible. So, it's probably fair to say Kelly hasn't been in a good mood.

During a conference call with the New York media ahead of Sunday's game at the Jets, Kelly snapped when asked about the Eagles' quarterback situation.

Reporter: "Did you give any thought to starting Mark Sanchez this week?"

Kelly: "No."

Reporter: "Why no thought of starting Sanchez this week?"

Kelly: "Excuse me? Because Sam Bradford's our starting quarterback."

Reporter: "Any chance Sanchez could play?"

Kelly: "Are you Mark's agent?"

Later, when asked what his offense needs to do in order to improve, Kelly simply said, "We need to run the ball."

The reporter, naturally, asked Kelly to expand on how.

"Gaining yards forward, not backwards," Kelly said.
