Chip Kelly Announces Nick Foles Will Start Sunday
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Eagles head coach Chip Kelly announced today that Nick Foles will start at quarterback for the team on Sunday in their game against the Oakland Raiders.
Foles was knocked out of the Eagles 17-3 loss to the Cowboys with a concussion, and missed last week's game against the Giants because he had not passed tests necessary to be permitted to practice and play after a player is diagnosed with a concussion.
Michael Vick started last week, and was succeeded by Matt Barkley when Vick re aggravated a hamstring injury. If Vick is still unable to go, which seems to be the case, Barkley will back on Foles on Sunday.
Kelly did not announce who will start in following weeks, noting that he must know the health situation of all quarterbacks to make that decision.
