PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A one-year-old is in stable condition after falling out of a second story window in Philadelphia late Thursday evening.
The incident happened at about 10 p.m. inside an apartment located in the 2800 block of S. 82nd Street in Southwest Philadelphia.
According to investigators, a one-year-old baby boy pushed against a screen and fell out of the second floor window.
As the boy was falling, he bounded off of a barbeque grill before landing on the ground.
The young boy was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to be treated for injuries to his lip and left cheek. He is listed in stable condition.
Authorities say if the child did not bounce off of the barbeque grill, his injuries could have been much worse.
The incident is being treated as an accident and so far no arrests have been made.
