Chickie's And Pete's Offering Toll-Free Rides To Jersey Shore On Friday
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Chickie's and Pete's announced it will kick off the holiday weekend by offering a "toll-free" ride on the Atlantic City Expressway for those headed to the Jersey Shore Friday evening.
Chickie's and Pete's will pay all eastbound tolls on the AC Expressway at the Egg Harbor Toll Plaza from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The sports bar and restaurant chain joins SportsRadio 94WIP and South Jersey Transportation Authority to kick off a "100 Day of Summer" promotion at the Frank S. Farley Service Plaza on the AC Expressway. The event will include giveaways, special guests, food and safety demonstrations to ensure a fun and safe summer down the shore.
Additionally, the Chickie's and Pete's mascot, "Crabfry Guy" will be on hand with the "Crabfries® Express" truck to give away free fries.
On Friday, SportsRadio 94 WIP's Anthony Gargano and Rob Ellis will broadcast live from the Farley Service Plaza from 1-6 p.m. and the "Voice of Citizens Bank Ballpark," Dan Baker, will also meet with fans from 1-3 p.m.
"This is just another way of saying thank you to our loyal guests who have been so good to us throughout the years," said Pete Ciarrocchi, President and CEO of Chickie's and Pete's.
A portion of the proceeds from every order of crabfries sold at the Jersey Shore this summer will be donated to the police departments in Longport, Margate, Atlantic City, and Ventnor to help with the purchase of police K-9 units.
