Chester Police Apprehend Bella Vista Rape Suspect
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Chester Police have apprehended the suspect wanted for allegedly raping and robbing a female employee of a Philadelphia coffee shop last week.
Christopher Reeves was arrested shortly after 1 p.m. in Chester after police received a tip from an unidentified person regarding Reeves' whereabouts.
Philadelphia Police say last Thursday, Reeves went into the Bella Vista neighborhood's Bean Exchange coffee shop shortly before it opened for business. He reportedly demanded money from the female worker who was alone at the time.
The worker complied and gave up the money, but authorities say the suspect still sexually assaulted her before running away (see related story).
Reeves will be arraigned in Chester and then returned to Philadelphia on Monday, according to police.
