Lockdown Lifted At Chester High After Reports Of Nearby Shooting
CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- A Delaware County high school was temporarily placed on lockdown Monday after reports of a shooting nearby.
The shooting was reported at about 8 a.m. near Chester High School on W. 9th Street in Chester.
According to police, shots were fired near the school, which caused the school to be placed on lockdown.
There were no immediate reports of anyone being shot.
However, police say a person who may have been an intended target or a person simply running after hearing the gunshot fell and was injured, but refused treatment by medics.
The lockdown was lifted at about 9 a.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
