Chester County To Host Flu Vaccine Clinic On Monday, Jan. 14
WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) – If you live in Chester County and haven't received a flu shot, now is your chance.
On Monday, Jan. 14th, the Chester County Health Department will be holding a Flu Vaccine Clinic at the Government Services Center from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The vaccine will be free for un- and under-insured families; otherwise, prices range from $25-35 for adults depending on the shot and are free for kids ages 6 months to 18 years.
The Health Department reminds those planning to get vaccinated that they cannot administer the shot to those with the following:
• Severe allergy to eggs or other vaccine components such as Gelatin, Thimerosal, Gentamicin
• Acute illness, with or without fever
• Adverse reaction to prior influenza immunization
• Adverse reaction to latex
• Children under 6 months of age
• History of Guillain-Barre' Syndrome following influenza vaccination. Anyone with a history of Guillain Barre' Syndrome that has occurred within six weeks of previous influenza vaccination must have a written order from their primary care provider on pre-printed script or letterhead.
