Chester County Teens Sentenced In Feces-Filled Cake Prank

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- Three Chester County women who admitted to "contaminating" a birthday cake with human waste and then giving it to a classmate for her and her family to eat have been sentenced to some unusual community service time by a judge.
The three women -- 19-year-old Mayra Flores, 18-year-old Ana Mirles, and 18-year-old Sandra Ortiz -- all are from Avondale, Pa.
They pleaded guilty in Chester County court this week to making a birthday cake for a classmate and putting human feces in it. The victim, who took it home to family members to eat, later reported a bad smell and taste to the cake.
Those who ate it complained of stomach problems.
Authorities recovered the cake and conducted a lab analysis and found it contained E. coli bacteria, consistent with human waste.
Assistant District Attorney Carolyn DeLaurentis says when the three were sentenced, Judge William Mahon used some latitude in devising an appropriate punishment.
"They all have to do 200 hours of community service and the judge ordered that that community service be either cleaning toilets and urinals, cleaning bed pans or cleaning up dog poop at a park," DeLaurentis said.
