Chester County, Pa. Urging Residents To Take Advantage of Its Vaccination Clinics

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- The Chester County health department is holding a flu vaccination clinic today, and three more days this week.
Chester County residents can get the flu shot free if they are uninsured or underinsured, otherwise the fee is $25-35 for adults, although free for children aged six months to 18 years.
Betsy Walls, of the county's Personal Health Services Bureau, says you should get a flu shot if you haven't already.
"The first step you do is to protect yourself," she said today. "You don't want the flu, you don't want to miss work. The other part is, you don't want to get the flu and take it to other people who may have health issues who did not get a flu shot -- the elderly, little kids, people with other health issues that would make them more at risk of serious illness if they got the flu."
Walls believes the flu will not peak for another week or two. The clinic runs today until 6pm at the Government Service Center in West Chester, and continues Tuesday from 9am to 4pm, Wednesday 11am to 6pm, and Friday 9am to 4pm.
