Cheltenham Police Step Up Investigation Of Cheltenham Bank Shooting

CHELTENHAM, Pa. (CBS) - Cheltenham police are stepping up their investigation as they look for three men who robbed and assaulted an Asian-American businessman outside the Woori America Bank on Front Street Tuesday morning (see related story).
Police say surveillance video from the scene appears to indicate that 55-year-old Peter Ly was targeted by his assailants, but they're hoping to work with the FBI to enhance the video to get a better look.
"The only image we have right now is the image of the shooter," says Deputy Chief Kevin O'Brien. "He appears to be a black male and he's wearing some type of Muslim garb when he accosted the victim."
O'Brien says it appears there were three black males inside a dark colored Volvo with tinted windows.
"It looks like they parked the car across the street in the Dunkin Donuts lot at Front and Cheltenham and waited for the victim to pull up into the parking lot of the bank and then approached the male."
He says they're also trying to get DNA from the shell casings found at the scene. Ly, who owns a West Philadelphia deli, remains hospitalized and is expected to recover. O' Brien says police are also hoping to get some reward money in an effort to solve the crime.
