Cheltenham H.S. Athletic Trainer Sentenced For Molesting Girl

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A former athletic trainer at Cheltenham High School in Montgomery County was sentenced today to 20-40 months in state prison after admitting he had inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old female student last year.
Ramon Cintron pleaded guilty to felony charges of institutional sexual assault and corruption of minors.
Prosecutors say the 30-year-old married father of two inappropriately touched the girl and sent her sexually explicit text messages (see related story).
Cintron will also have to register as a "Megan's Law" offender and report his address to state police for at least 15 years.
"The victim is the young girl who was assaulted, and that's who we were fighting for," says Montgomery County prosecutor Noah Marlier. "We were fighting to bring her some justice and some peace of mind in what is otherwise just an awful situation."
Marlier says he's pleased with the sentence, adding Cintron abused his power and his position of trust, and showed no remorse for the girl.
Cintron worked for a physical rehabilitation agency in Philadelphia and was contracted to the high school.
