Charter School In Rhawnhurst Closed Due To Undisclosed Threat
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – For the second day in a row, a school in Northeast Philadelphia is closed due to an undisclosed threat.
Officials at the Tacony Academy Charter School on Rhawn Street say the closure is due to an "emergency," but they did not elaborate.
There are reports that a student threatened to shoot up a neighborhood before coming to school. School officials would not confirm any details.
School officials did say parents would be notified on why the school had to be closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
Staff members were scheduled to report at 10 a.m. Thursday, but students were told to stay home.
