Chain Restaurants In Philadelphia Required To Display Warning Label For Extra Salty Dishes Starting Saturday

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Extra salty dishes will come with a warning label in Philadelphia starting Saturday. Chain restaurants in the city will be required to display a warning for any menu item that has more than the recommended sodium total for an entire day.

The recommended sodium total is 2300 milligrams per day.

The law was passed last year and is aimed at fighting heart disease.
