CBS3 Viewer To Donate Bike For NJ Man With Cerebral Palsy
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A CBS3 viewer is paying-it-forward to help get a new bike for a young man with cerebral palsy.
Eyewitness News first aired the story of Christopher Schmitz, a 25-year-old from Palmyra, New Jersey, whose customized bike was stolen from outside his house.
"I really loved that bike," said Christopher. "I was really upset."
"He can't drive a car, he is 25-years old and this (bike) gave him some freedom," said Christopher's mother Suzanne Schmitz.
Lauren Celli from Mt. Laurel, who saw the story on CBS 3, decided to donate any out of pocket expenses, so that the family can replace the $3,000 bike.
"When I saw that news story, I knew when I saw it this was what I wanted to do," said Celli.

Suzanne Schmitz tells Eyewitness News it's not about the bike anymore, it's about people caring for her son and helping him.
Christopher should have his new bike in a few weeks.
