CBS3 Pet Project: Why pet health insurance makes sense
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - This week, CBS3 sits down with animal advocate Carol Erickson from the Pennsylvania SPCA to talk about pet health insurance. Erickson talks about when to get insurance and what you should consider when choosing the plan.
She says, for example, that it is important to choose a plan when your pet is still healthy. Also, the plan should cover between 80 and 90% of the costs.
All in all, Erickson says it makes sense to get your pet covered since expenses for treatment can go through the roof.
