CBS To Develop Hospital Comedy Based On Popular South Korean Series "Emergency Couple"

Philadelphia (CW Philly) -- CBS keeps things rolling with another show in development.

Variety reports that the network is developing a new comedy series based on the popular series "Emergency Couple," a show originating from South Korea.

The show titled "Love/Sick" is going to be a multi-cam hybrid which follows a young female doctor who is put in charge of a new group of medical interns, only to find out that one of them is her ex-boyfriend.

Lisa Parsons will serve as the writer and executive producer for the show with Jeffrey Kramer and Jiwon Park also executive producing. Parsons has worked on shows such as "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and "Arrested Development" as a writer and story editor.

This show is the latest Korean series to be adapted for a U.S. audience. ABC will debut "The Good Doctor," based on the Korean series of the same name, in this year's fall lineup.

With the announcement on Monday of CBS developing a new CIA drama series from Barbara Hall and former CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller, "Love/Sick" is just latest of shows revealed to be in development for CBS.
