Caught On Video: Suspects Get Into Altercation With Officer Trying To Stop Robbery
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two men are accused of robbing a Rite Aid store and getting into an altercation with an officer who tried to stop them.
The incident was caught on surveillance video.
Police say around 4:20 p.m. on December 1, two Hispanic males entered the Rite Aid on the 4500 block of North 5th Street.
They were allegedly seen placing several items in their waist area and attempting to leave the store.
Authorities say when a loss prevention officer tried to stop them, they fled to the parking lot and engaged the officer in a physical altercation.
Police say one of the men pulled out a knife and pointed it at the officer.
The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 40 years old, with a thin build, dark hair, a beard, tattoos around his shoulders to chest, wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.
The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 years old, 5'7", with a medium build and was wearing a skull cap and blue jeans.
