Cacia's Bakery Cooks Up A Thanksgiving Tradition
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It's a South Philly tradition: drop your turkey off at Cacia's Bakery and let them handle the cooking.
What started as a favor to neighbors more than 50 years ago has blossomed into a full-blown Thanksgiving ritual.
Owner Sam Cacia says he understands how important this day is to his customers, "A couple of days before Thanksgiving, the tension starts building, because I'm responsible for over 100 turkeys and over 1,000 people for Thanksgiving and I have to make every one perfect."
Perfection is what keeps Natalie Williams coming back, for the past seven years. "It has a different taste. It's juicy to me. It's cooked better. My mom loves the way it tastes."
Aside from great taste, Williams says it's nice to have the oven free at home to cook the rest of her thanksgiving feast.
