Carter-Williams Adjusting To NBA Life In First Sixers Camp
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers are continuing with their work on Hawk Hill as training camp continues.
All kinds of new faces on the roster this season, and that includes rookie guard Michael Carter-Williams. The first round draft pick out of Syracuse is adjusting to life in the NBA here in his first pro training camp.
"Things are going well," Carter-Williams tells KYW Newsradio. "I'm learning a lot. It's been a long couple of days, so I'm just trying to learn, keep my legs healthy, just get treatment and stuff."
Carter-Williams averaged nearly 12 points a game last season as a sophomore for the Orange and he says the NBA game takes some adjusting too.
"I think the game's a lot faster and you've got to make decisions quicker," Carter-Williams says. "And that's something that I'm working on."

This is also the first Sixers training camp run by new head coach Brett Brown.
"He's teaching me a lot," Carter-Williams says of Brown. "He's a great coach, we all respect him and really listen to what he has to say."
The Sixers will open their preseason schedule overseas with a couple of games in Europe.
"I can't wait to go over there and experience that lifestyle and play and experience the game," Carter-Williams says.
Preseason opener will be Sunday in Bilbao, Spain, against Bilbao and that will be followed by a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Manchester, England, on Tuesday, October 8th.
