Carly Fiorina: 'People Are Tired Of Hypocrites Like Hillary Clinton'
By Chris Stigall
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Just days after her speech at CPAC, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard and potential presidential candidate, Carly Fiorina, spoke with Talk Radio 1210 WPHT morning show host Chris Stigall about what sets her apart from many of the other people possibly running for President.
"I think the reason people respond, honestly is I'm not a politician and I don't sound like a politician. I think people understand we're at a pivotal point in our nation. I think people resonate with the reality that everybody has God-given gifts and everyone has potential and we have to give everyone an opportunity to use their potential. I think they resonate with the reality that we need to fundamentally reform government and quit tinkering around the edges with problems that have been in place a long time and I think sadly they are very concerned about the safety of our nation and what is going on in the world. They're tired of the hypocrisy of people, honestly, like Hillary Clinton."
Fiorina has singled out Clinton for what she feels is a resume without accomplishments.
"We have a president in the White House today that didn't have that much of a track record of accomplishment. I come from outside of the world of politics where results matter, where you actually have to get things done and I think one of the American people's frustration with politics is they don't see enough getting done. So, I actually think results and accomplishments are pivotal. It's completely fair. In the business world, we challenge people's results. I don't challenge anyone's hearts or their motivation, their character or anything else, but I will challenge someone's track record."
She concludes that seeing that most people outside of the world of politics need to "produce a tangible result," it frustrates the American people when people like Clinton "think a speech is an accomplishment" when it actually is not.
