Cardinal Rigali Celebrates Feast Of The Seven Fishes
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Cardinal Justin Rigali was the guest of honor at Positano Coast where they celebrated the Feast of the Seven Fishes.
Rigali says, "At different times of the year, especially in Philadelphia, they have the seven fishes. It grew up as a practice, people celebrating not with meat but with fish and then they added one fish on the other and they came up to seven."
Cardinal Rigali says there's something very special about sharing a meal with those you love. "Food is something that's very important, because it is around a meal that the family gathers; and this is the way god made us. Also -- Jesus himself -- he took advantage of a meal with the last supper."
And as we approach Christmas, he has this wish for everybody: "A blessed Christmas to everyone listening to me. That's my message."
