Candlelight Vigil Held To Honor Victims Of 'Kensington Strangler'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Friends and family gathered Friday night to hold a candlelight vigil for the murdered victims of the "Kensington Strangler."
The victims' family members continue to struggle with their loss. They just want the killer caught and off the streets before he gets a chance to do it again.
The clear and permanent damage caused by this killer could be seen on the faces of his victims' family members and heard in their voices.
Derrah Goldberg, the mother of 21-year-old Elaine Goldberg who was killed last month, spoke with anger in her heart.
"Just talking about it and looking at him, you bastard you did this to my only daughter. She did nothing to anybody," Goldberg said.
At a vigil Friday night for Goldberg and 35-year-old Nicole Piacentini, Goldberg's mother had a message to the so called "Kensington Strangler."
'"You took my only daughter away from me. I have two other children, but that is not going to bring my daughter back," she said. "Don't come near me. I will tear you up."
Piacentini's mother, who often comes here to the spot where her daughter's body was discovered, was too emotional to talk publicly.
"Her mom is here everyday and I feel her pain sometimes. All I can do is just pray," Piacentini's stepfather Leo Piacentini said.
The vigil at jasper and Cumberland streets also drew neighbors and people who never met any of the victims. They came here to pay their respects and to listen to what the families had to say.

"Please don't forget about her. She did not deserve to die like this," Piacentini's aunt Toni Nazarian said.
The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, about 5'7", 170 lbs, with a medium complexion.
