Candlelight Vigil To Be Held For Victims Of Penn State Sex Abuse Scandal On Saturday
PENN STATE UNIVERSITY (CBS) – In the wake of the Penn State sex abuse scandal, one organization is staging a show of support for the victims.
The Foundation to Abolish Child Sex Abuse (FACSA) will be holding a candlelight vigil on Saturday at the university's Main Gate, located at the intersection of College Avenue and Allen Street.
FACSA is calling on Penn State to provide full transparency on the current situation, as well as to make public the details of how the case will change university protocol.
Additionally, FACSA is calling on the university to support current pending Pennsylvania legislation that would hold perpetrators of child sex crimes and those who aid in their cover-up accountable.
The candlelight vigil will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. and is open to students and the larger community.
