Camden Riversharks Team Looking For New Owner-Partners
CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) - The owners of minor league baseball's Camden Riversharks are looking to bring on local partners to help run the team.
Frank Boulton, president of the independent Atlantic League and a majority partner in the team, confirms that the ownership group, which includes a Lancaster County, Pa. organization that operates other minor league teams and stadiums, would like to find a local owner-partner.
"We have sat down with some interested parties to bring them aboard as minority partners to eventually become majority partners -- and possibly, if they learn the business, take over the Camden Riversharks," he told KYW Newsradio today.
Boulton would only confirm that the group is from the tri-state area. He says the negotiations are sensitive at this time and he wouldn't disclose any other specifics.
He says the Riversharks have enjoyed lots of success in the community and will open their 11th season on Friday, April 29th.
