Camden, NJ Murder Suspect Tracked to Homeless Agency In South Florida

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) -- It took a month for Camden County detectives to track down a Camden man wanted in the murder of his longtime girlfriend, but now he is in custody.
According to authorities, 49-year-old Alma Brito-Reyes wanted to break off her 15-year relationship with 59-year-old William White. He wouldn't agree, investigators say they argued and then, they say, he hit her in the head with a gun and left her to die in her second-floor bedroom.
White then allegedly took her ATM card, tapped it for $500, and hit the road.
"He wound up being found down in Florida. He was at a homeless services center in Homestead, Florida," says Camden County prosecutor's office spokesman Jason Laughlin.
Detectives flew to South Florida and interviewed White, who is now facing charges of murder once he is extradited from Miami-Dade County.
