Camden County Officer Stops Robbery In Progress After Spotting Legs Dangling From Moving Car
CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) – A police officer in Camden County saw something shocking en route to a call on Thursday.
Camden County officer Edward Gonzalez was driving near Broadway and Royden Street around 10:36 p.m. when he saw a moving car with legs dangling out the driver's side window.
Gonzalez stopped the vehicle and learned that 28-year-old Francisco Castillo 3rd, of Camden, was trying to rob the female driver of the car by force.
The victim said Castillo approached her vehicle, demanded money and then reached into the vehicle, grabbing her shirt.
The victim also said she'd tried to drive away while the suspect tried to turn off the engine in her car.
No injuries were reported, but Castillo was arrested and charged with 2nd degree robbery.
