Camden County Man Charged With String of Church Vandalisms
MAGNOLIA, N.J. -- Authorities in South Jersey have arrested a 41-year-old Magnolia man in connection with a series of vandalism incidents at Catholic churches in July (see previous stories).

Curtis Condell (photo) is now being held in lieu of $100,000 bail and is facing several counts of vandalizing statues -- for reasons police know but won't discuss at this point.

"He's charged in nine separate vandalisms at churches in Evesham, Mount Laurel, and Cherry Hill," says Evesham police lieutenant Walt Miller.
A tip call from a citizen, following up on a description of a suspect seen fleeing St. Joan of Arc Church after two statues were damaged (see related story), led police to Condell, who turned himself in.
The charges against him include "bias intimidation," because the alleged acts targeted Catholic institutions exclusively (another related story).
