Camden County Honors Local War Veterans

VOORHEES, Nj. (CBS) -- Two dozen local veterans, ages 33 to 91, were honored Thursday morning in Voorhees, New Jersey.
Camden County and the Kennedy Health System took time to honor veterans who served from World War II to Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The youngest of the vets was 33-year-old Christopher Mohrmann of West Berlin, who served in the Marine Corps from 1997 to 2001, stationed in Oahu. Three years ago, he contracted a virus that required the amputation of all four of his limbs. But he stood -- with prosthetic legs, to receive his medal. His mother Teri Crutchfield says Chris was looking forward to this ceremony.
"He's been very positive and upbeat since all this has happened," says Crutchfield, "and you know, willing to go back right now, actually, to the Marines. He's so funny. Not me, I don't want him to go!"
But Crutchfield says now more than ever, she's especially grateful to those who serve our country.
"We pray every night at dinner," she says. "After we say Grace, 'God Bless the United States Marine Corps.' "
