Camden County Home Burglarized In Consecutive Days
BLACKWOOD, NJ (CBS) - Police in Camden County are investigating the robbery of the same home in consecutive days.
The robberies happened Monday and Tuesday at a home on State Street in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.
During the first burglary, the victim's car keys were removed from his home and his vehicle was stolen.
In the second burglary, police say four juveniles broke into the home using an ax that belonged to the homeowner.
Once inside the home, the suspects made their way into the bedroom of the victim, who was at home during the burglary. The homeowner entered the bedroom and encountered the suspects. The suspects were startled and then fled the home with $30 in cash, change and the victim's wallet.
After a short foot chase, the suspects were apprehended by police behind several homes along Cressmont Avenue.
The four juveniles have been charged with Burglary, Theft, Conspiracy to commit Burglary, Obstruction of Justice and Resisting arrest by flight.
One of the juveniles arrested in the second incident was additionally charged with Burglary (of) tools and Joyriding after admitting to being inside the victim's stolen vehicle.
The juveniles were turned over to Juvenile Shelter in Lakeland.
The first burglary case remains under investigation.
