Camden County Emergency Dispatcher Charged With Sex Crimes
MT. EPHRAIM, N.J. (CBS) – Police in South Jersey arrested a man they say had an inappropriate relationship with a teenage girl.
Forty-four-year-old Matt Call, of Mt. Ephraim, New Jersey, is facing several charges including Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Call was arrested Wednesday. Authorities did not release the age of the girl.
According to investigators, Call maintained a relationship with the girl for a period of about five months.
Police say the majority of Call's interaction with the girl was conducted online, primarily through Facebook. Call allegedly used the pseudonym Steven Lyons on Facebook.
Investigators say during these interactions, Call solicited the girl to send him pornographic images of herself.
It is alleged that Call and the girl met in person only twice and both times occurred within the past month. Investigators say during one of the encounters, they engaged in sexual activity.
Call was charged with Luring, Sexual Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Distributing Child Pornography, Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Engaging in Sexual Conduct, two counts of Criminal Sexual Contact and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Creating Child Pornography.
Call worked as a dispatcher with the Camden County emergency dispatch in Lindenwold.
