Camden County Closes Its Store In The Cherry Hill Mall
CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS) - The budget ax has fallen on the Camden County Store at the Cherry Hill Mall.
You used to be able to apply for passports or get information on wills and powers of attorney at the Camden County Store at the Cherry Hill Mall. Not anymore.
Dealing with a $43-million budget deficit, the county has closed the store -- a move that freeholder director Lou Cappelli says will save $400,000.
"That is a per-year cost. It includes the rental paid to the mall, in addition to the employees that were manning the store at the mall," he says.
Five employees have been laid off.
Cappelli says the county store at the Voorhees Town Center will remain open.
