Cabbie Cut From Car After Violent West Philly Crash; Other Driver Charged With DUI
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Officials say a cab driver was trapped inside his vehicle and had to be rescued after two cars collided early Friday morning in West Philadelphia.
This happened just before 3:30 a.m. at 63rd and Chestnut Streets.
According to officials, the cab driver was trapped for about 20 minutes and had to be cut out from the car. He was taken to Presbyterian Hospital with fractured arms and is in stable condition.
The driver of the other vehicle has been arrested on DUI. He reportedly suffered minor injuries from the air bag.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
