Burlington County Woman Pleads Guilty To Shocking Case Of Animal Cruelty
SHAMONG, N.J. (CBS) -- A Burlington County woman has pleaded guilty to a shocking case of animal cruelty. Sixty-eight-year-old Donna Roberts was charged in November 2018 after 44 dog carcasses were found in freezers throughout her Shamong home.
Roberts pleaded guilty to the deaths of six dogs by failing to provide them with proper care.
Investigators also discovered about 160 other dogs living in deplorable conditions.
