Burlington County High School Evacuated Following Bomb Threat
CINNAMINSON, N.J. (CBS) - Cinnaminson High School was evacuated when officials received a bomb threat Monday afternoon.
Students and staffers were ushered out of the school and onto the football field while police scoured the building with bomb-sniffing dogs.
Parents were notified via the school's emergency messaging system and the kids were dismissed.
"We did have a bomb threat and felt it was credible and so we called police," said Superintendent Salvatore Illuzzi.
All students and staff are safe, he said. As part of school protocol, students and staff were sent to the football stadium and were eventually free to go home.
There is no information yet as to the specifics of the threat, according to officials.
No explosives were found. Police continue to investigate.
