Burglary Of Manayunk Restaurant Caught On Tape

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for two suspects who were caught on surveillance tape breaking into and stealing cash and a safe from a Philadelphia restaurant.
The burglary happened shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday at The Couch Tomato Bistro in Manayunk.
According to investigators, two suspects were spotted on surveillance video casing the restaurant. Minutes later, the suspects pulled up to the rear of the business in a late-model custom conversion van.
The suspects got out of the van and entered the restaurant through the rear door.
Once inside, the suspects broke into several cash registers and took money that was inside of them. The suspects then used a shopping cart from the business to carry out a safe.
The suspects then got back into the van and drove away on Main Street. They made off with an unknown amount of cash.

The first suspect is described as a white male, 30-40-years-old, with a stocky build. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a blue and gray zip up jacket, blue jeans and black and white sneakers. This suspect also has an unknown tattoo on the back of his neck just at the hair line.
The second suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20-years-old, with a thin build and unshaven with a goatee. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a blue zip up hooded jacket, dark pants and black sneakers. This suspect also walks with a hitch in his step.
The getaway vehicle is described as a late-model possible Dodge custom conversion van.
