Burglars Targeting Flat Screen TVs In Ocean City
OCEAN CITY, NJ (CBS) -- Detectives in a popular shore town are investigating a rash of burglaries in which thieves are targeting flat screen televisions.
The burglaries have happened between November 18th and December 1st at 18 homes in Ocean City, New Jersey.
According to investigators, the suspect(s) have forced their way into the homes through a side entrance that is not visible from the street.
In all of the burglaries, flat screen TVs of all sizes have been taken. No other items of value have been removed from the homes.
Most of the reported incidents have occurred south of 40th Street along Central and Asbury Avenue.
The Ocean City Police Department has stepped up patrols in the area.
