Bucks County Kids Test Positive For Drugs, Couple Charged
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A suburban Philadelphia couple is facing charges after their two young children tested positive for drugs.
Forty-eight-year-old Steven Aprigliano and 32-year-old Jennifer Jackson are facing child endangerment and other charges.
Police said the couple's 1-year-old boy fell ill after ingesting cocaine back in May at their then-home in Chalfont, Bucks County. Their other child, a five-year-old boy, later tested positive for traces of opiates and amphetamines.
Court papers said Aprigliano claimed he'd been wearing a pain patch that contains opiates and might have rubbed against his sons' skin.
The parents waived their preliminary hearings Friday and will officially be arraigned next month. They are seeking supervised visits with the boys, who are in foster care.
