Bucks County Cooking Class Provides Meals To Help Ward Off Cancer
WARMINSTER, Pa. (CBS) - You can learn how to cook healthy meals and ward off cancer.
A free anti-cancer cooking class will be held at Gilda's Club in Warminster, Bucks County on June 23rd. Sheryl Wolff, a cooking instructor with The Cancer Project, says the event will feature low fat-high fiber recipes.
"Anything that comes from an animal does not have fiber, so the more plant-based food you can put in your diet, the more fiber you can put in. Fiber, as we know, is great for regularity, but a more important role it has is pulling out carcinogens," said Wolff.
She says studies prove your diet can prevent cancer and keep you healthy after treatment. To sign up for the free class call 215-441-3290.
