Bucks County Artists Show Off Work At Philadelphia 'Trunk Show'
By Suzanne Monaghan
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Two Bucks County artists will have their work featured at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts "Trunk Show" on Sunday, March 10th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The trunk show will feature wearable art from two artisans.
Artist Amy Ragsdale designs jewelry with recycled sterling and gold and uses earth friendly processes in making her pieces.
"I also don't cast many pieces at all because I really believe that everyone deserves an original piece and I don't think it has to be incredibly expensive. So it's like couture jewelry for the masses," Ragsdale explains.
Her designs will be for sale at the trunk show along with pieces from fashion designer, Denise Shardlow.
"She's a fabric artist, she will be making coats and bamboo clothes, wraps, scarves and tops and pants," says Ragsdale.
The women plan to display their new spring lines.
