Bruce Springsteen Not Performing In AC Labor Day Weekend Despite Governor's Request
PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) - Bruce Springsteen fans who hoped to see the artist perform at a new Atlantic City casino Labor Day weekend may be up for a little disappointment.
Last month, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie called upon The Boss to help Atlantic City by performing at the new Revel casino on Labor Day weekend. The governor, who says he has seen Springsteen play live 126 times, made the plea during a tour of the new casino (see related story).
A publicist for Springsteen declined comment on Christie's invitation and as of late March, Revel had not yet booked an entertainer for Labor Day weekend, a spokeswoman said.
According to the star's website, Springsteen will be performing at Citizen's Bank Park Labor Day weekend.
