Bruce Springsteen Exhibit At The National Constitution Center
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It's a tribute to The Boss next year at the National Constitution Center. Details of a Bruce Springsteen exhibition are being announced today.
The raw, working-class honesty of Bruce Springsteen has made his music part of the American fabric. Starting on February 17th and running for seven months, the National Constitution Center will host an exhibition on Springsteen's life and music.
Center Chief Communications Officer Margaret Cronan says a Springsteen exhibit is a good fit.
"He has tested the bounds of freedom of speech, and he does get politically involved. And more than that, he really is a guy who's been out there, really singing on behalf of Americans."
The exhibit entitled "From Asbury Park to the Promised Land" is traveling for the first time outside the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. It includes Springsteen's handwritten lyrics, several of his guitars and even the T-shirt and jeans he wore on the cover of "Born in the USA."
