British Airways Suspends All Flights To 2 African Countries Stricken By Ebola
LONDON, UK (CBS) – British Airways has temporarily suspended all flights to two African countries suffering from the Ebola outbreak.
On Tuesday, the company announced on its website that it would be discontinuing flights to and from both Liberia and Sierra Leone until Aug. 31st, 2014.
The reason for the suspension is described as "the deteriorating public health situation."
Customers currently located in either of the two countries are urged to contact two recommended local travel agents.
Customers with flights scheduled to land in either of the African nations can rebook for a later date or fly into or out of a different location.
"The safety of our customers, crew and ground teams is always our top priority and we will keep the routes under constant review in the coming weeks," British Airways says.
