With sunny skies in the forecast this weekend, the Philadelphia region is getting a sneak peek of spring! This means there's no better time to get out on the town and make the most of your weekend in the City of Brotherly Love.

From concerts and comedy shows at The Met and The Fillmore to a home and garden show preparing you for spring, the region has an eclectic assortment of activities lined up.

Here's a look at what's going on in the Philadelphia area this weekend.

Brett Young with Kylie Morgan at The Met

Country star Brett Young is coming to The Met on North Broad Street this Friday as part of his latest tour. Young will be joined by Kylie Morgan, a country artist with well-known hits like, "If He Wanted To He Would" and "Independent With You."

If you're looking for a belated Valentine's Day celebration, there's no better soundtrack to your night than a live performance by Young, who's a country romantic at heart.

Tickets to see Brett Young and Kylie Morgan at The Met start at $59.60

Foster the People at The Fillmore

One of the most popular bands is set to take the stage this weekend at one of Philadelphia's most popular venues. Foster the People is coming to The Fillmore on Friday at 8 p.m.

The indie pop band is touring their latest album "Paradise State of Mind," performing hit songs like "Lost In Space" and "Sometimes I Wanna Be Bad."

Tickets start at $181.50 for general admission.

And if you feel the need to keep the night going, The Fillmore is hosting an after-party starting just before midnight. While it appears, that tickets on Live Nation are sold out, they were initially listed for $55.

Matteo Lane's "Can't Stop Talking" Tour

Certified funny guy Mateo Lane is bringing the laughs and the chatter with his "Can't Stop Talking" Tour to The Met Saturday night. Lane's resume boasts two iconic standup specials, "Hair Plugs & Heartache" and "The Advice Special." You'll have to keep your eyes peeled for his next one, which is set to debut on Hulu in May 2025.

Outside of standup, Lane has multiple on-screen features, including "Upgraded," a film on Amazon, and "Survival of the Thickest," a Netflix series.

Snag your tickets to see Lane before they're sold out! Prices start at $54.25. Showtime is 7 p.m.

There's a "Home Improvement" reference in here somewhere, but for now, we'll just focus on the event. The Philly Home and Garden Show returns this weekend from Friday through Sunday, offering expert advice and deals to improve your home.

If you're looking to do a little re-modeling or some re-designs around your home, here's your inspiration.

More than 300 exhibitors will be at The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center to showcase their products and services so you can shop, compare and save. The show will feature home and garden experts and exhibitors showcasing everything from home decor trends to landscaping ideas. There will be presentations throughout the weekend and make-and-take workshops where you can check out DIY projects!

Tickets are $12 at the door or $10 online for people ages 13 and older, while children 12 and under enter for free.

The Philly Home and Garden Show is open from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.

Marquette vs. Villanova

The Villanova Wildcats will host the Marquette Golden Eagles on Friday at the Wells Fargo Center.

Looking to get back in the win column, 'Nova lost their last two games and look to keep their March Madness hopes alive. Villanova hasn't made the men's NCAA Tournament since 2022.

Marquette, the No. 2 team in the Big East, defeated the Wildcats 87-74 in January.

Tickets for Friday's 7 p.m. game start at $30.

Oilers vs. Flyers

With the excitement of our Super Bowl champion Eagles dying down and the Phillies preparing for the start of their season, fans will naturally turn their attention to the Philadelphia Flyers and Sixers – a stark contrast to the last few celebration-filled weeks.

Welcome to Gritty's Chaos Factory, Wells Fargo Center's first retail area dedicated to the mascot 02:27

The Flyers are set to take on the Edmonton Oilers at 1 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday.

Sitting at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division, the Flyers were able to sneak out a win against the Pittsburgh Penguins in their last outing.

The Oilers currently sit in first place in the Pacific Division with a record of 34-17.

Tickets start at $102.

Flyers Charities Carnival

Get ready for fun and games for a good cause at Flyers Charities Carnival 03:21

A Ferris wheel inside the Wells Fargo Center? Say less. One day after the Oilers-Flyers game, the Flyers Charities Carnival is back at the team's home stadium on Sunday from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

This epic day of fun features amusement park-style rides like a carousel and Ferris wheel, plus signature games like skee ball and water gun battles. There will also be extra experiences on sale, like Sign & Snaps – where you can meet your favorite Flyers players, take photos, and get autographs, plus Shot On Goal – where guests have three opportunities to shoot on goal! Guests can also meet Coach Tortorella and several adoptable dogs during the Hockey & Hounds experience.

The carnival is the largest fundraiser for Flyers Charities, which supports families battling cancer. The nonprofit also works to expand youth access to hockey.

Kids can enter the carnival for free, while adult tickets start at $32.

Nets vs. 76ers

Another team looking to get back in the win column is the Philadelphia 76ers. Losers of six straight games coming off the All-Star break, the Sixers look to put on a show with a fan base coming down from a championship high.

The Sixers host the Brooklyn Nets in the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $15.

Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink at City Hall

Skaters are encouraged to book their sessions online in advance. Ticket sales are limited in person. You can also BYOIS (bring your own ice skates) and just pay the admission charge.
